Urgent Message: FLASH FLOODS IN LEH

Heavy downpours triggered flash floods in Leh and the surrounding area. Choglumsar, Shapoo and Old Leh were the worst affected areas. Indian media reports over 100 deaths and 300 injured.

The Druk White Lotus School was affected by a mudslide. Some of the classrooms have been flooded with mud. The founder of the school His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa is mobilising disaster relief aid for the local area.
